Through my Alternatives Series I design and make functional objects that investigate spatial ideas and the use of inexpensive locally available materials. The design drawings for the Alternatives Series are offered as open source material through my web site www.fionamcdonald.ie. In this way, the creative idea is offered as a gift and the recipient is empowered with the knowledge to make an Alternative.
